Lorna and Dennis
We are professional barrel racers and team ropers from Tack Tavern Ranch in Carbon Hill Alabama. Training and riding are our first loves and between us we have over 90 years combined experience in every aspect of the horse industry. We are a working ranch, but in addition we offer:

The Ranch
Our piece of Heaven! Always have a few excellent quality horses for sale, as well as some tack so check back often. If we don't have what you are looking for just let us know, it is very possible we can help you find that special horse. Air BnB Cabins
Nestled in the hills of Carbon Hill, AL we welcome you to our ranch, with horses, cats and 8 free loading dogs. Our dogs are loose but friendly. We invite you to our slice of paradise to enjoy How the West was fun. Hike 30 acres of trails to check out local wildlife.
In addition to our beautiful Creek House and Bunkhouse cabins, we invite you to take a stroll through our little western town and stop off at the saloon to say howdy.
The stars at night are big and bright. We are 4 miles from town.
Horse Transport
We designed our equipment and horse transportation philosophy with the horses in mind. We move them safely door to door in comfortable individual reverse slant compartments. With their own roomy and safe floor to ceiling divided compartment, they can focus on the fresh hay and water in front of them and we can focus on the road.
